In loving memory on her birthday of our dear Mom, Shirley Butler, whose laughter filled our days and love warmed our hearts. Our mom passed away at 73 years old on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at her residence in Columbus, MS.

Shirley Butler was born April 22, 1950, in South San Francisco, California. Her birth mother, Marian Crist, was young and placed her up for adoption. She was adopted by Marcella and Roy Stalker at 4 years old. In 2019, we found Shirley's brother, Tim Blanchard. Connecting with her brother was truly one of our mom's most cherished memories.

Shirley Butler moved to Columbus, MS in 1997. She was a dedicated member of the Annunciation Catholic Church. One of her greatest joys was volunteering at church. Shirley was also a lot monitor at Carl Hogan for many years. In addition to her parents, Shirley Butler was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Butler; daughter Sarah Clark; son James Clark; and brother Pat Stalker.

Shirley Butler is survived by her daughters – Katherine McCraw; Rebecca Faudree and husband Brian Faudree; grandchildren – Andrew McCraw and his wife Kaiya McCraw; Samantha McCraw, Gabe McCraw, Crosby Faudree, Rose Wind and Jaden Wind. She is also survived by her brother and his wife - Tim and Debbie Blanchard – and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Clarke.

Our mom brought joy to everyone she met, she was kind, giving, and her spirit will forever shine bright in our memories. Rest in peace, Mom, knowing you are cherished beyond measure.
