Shirley Oletta Byrd, 76, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East, Memphis, TN.

A visitation will be Friday, June 25.2021 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Vaughn Cemetery Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Byrd was born on October 2, 1944, in Corinth, MS to the late Stella Maude McCann and Albert McCann. She was very active in her grandchildren's lives and enjoyed Caledonia Sports Boosters. Mrs. Byrd enjoyed gardening with her flowers. She worked as a Ward Clerk at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS, and then worked at Sanderson Plumbing as an assembly Line worker for many years and retired in 2007.

Mrs. Byrd is survived by her husband- Kenneth Byrd of Steens, MS; daughters- Kellie Byrd, and Jennifer Byrd Locke; son- Brain (Tonya White) Byrd; grandchildren- Courtney O'Callaghan, Macenzie Ferguson, and Kylie Ferguson; sisters- Barbara Goodrun, Nancy (Luther) Mills, and Sandra Barkley; brother-Paul McCann; sister-in-law- Carolyn Garrett, and Linda (Larry) Bridges.

Pallbearers will be Ashton McKee, Phillip Hansen, Zack O'Callaghan, Timothy White, Richard Harcrow, and Christopher Harcrow.
