Shirley Louise Harris

Shirley Louise Harris, 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at The Windsor Place in Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home in Columbus, MS.

Shirley was born on December 4, 1958, in Washington, DC, to the late Joseph E. Thompson and Mildred Hollingsworth Thompson. She spent many years working in construction. She worked hard and could get any project done with ease. She was also a supporter and member of the American Legion Riders Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Bassett of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Angela Terry of Maryland, and Alice Newman of Maryland; her brothers, George Thompson of Maryland and Robert Thompson of Maryland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mary McDill Scott and Bill Scott, Laura Harfst, Alice Gable, Wendy and Adam Lucas, Jan Hudson and Don Hudson, Debbie Hewitt, and American Legion Riders Post 69 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
