Shirley G. Moore, 87, of Columbus, MS, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle surrounded by her family and friends.

Mrs. Moore was born April 27, 1935, in Lockesburg, Arkansas to the late Thomas Robert Gallaher and Thelma Smith Gallaher. She graduated from Lockesburg, AR high school and attended Texarkana Junior College.

Mrs. Moore was a faithful wife for 64 years.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her "Mawmaw".  Her family will definitely miss her chocolate pies, pecan pies, and chicken salad.  She also was a wonderful, God-loving woman who enjoyed going to church and helping out in any way she could.  She was a behind-the-scenes kind of person who always made sure the food was out for everyone to enjoy and that the church was clean.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Latimer Gray and Shelba Gallaher Gamble, and brother Henry Latimer.

She is survived by her husband, Robert David Moore; son, Rob (Joanie) Moore of Starkville, MS; grandchildren, Tyler (Kayleigh) Moore, Rachel (Colton) Walker, Hayden (Laken) Moore, and Jessica (Colton) Foster; great-grandchildren, Ava and Thomas Walker, Cash Moore, Riley Foster, and 2 more on the way in August and September 2022;  sister Diann Prezioso of Reno, NV; and 2 nieces and 3 nephews.  She also had two special young ladies in her life, Heather Napier and her family and Kim Lovelace and her family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Community Baptist Church.
