Jacob (Dr. Ski) Skiwski, 81, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at his residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, July 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, with Pastor Christopher Atkinson and Pastor Larry Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens in Columbus, MS, with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Dr. Ski was born November 5, 1943, in Poland to the late Wlodzimierz "Walter" Skiwski and Lidia Klikocki Skiwski.  He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, in 1971. Dr. Ski joined Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle in August 1978, after completing his internship and residency in pediatrics at Keesler Medical Hospital at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. He went on to establish Children's Health Center of Columbus, MS in 1984. Dr. Ski was a United States Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force and was an active member of the Columbus Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition to his parents, Dr. Jacob Skiwski is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy-Jane Skiwski, granddaughters- Ashli Michal Armstrong & Ashli Luna Skiwski and sister, Rachael Landa.

Dr. Skiwski is survived by his wife -Victoria Skiwski; daughter- Sara-Jane (Ian) Skiwski-Gerbode, son- Jason (Marie) Skiwski, daughter- Sabrina (Will) McDow; grandchildren- Selena Vixia Smith, Jacob Riley Skiwski, Alexandra Elizabeth Skiwski, Jared Alexander Skiwski, Sophia Janae Skiwski, Abigail Anastasia McDow, Amelia Jane McDow, and great grandchild- Everest Jacob Skiwski.

Pallbearers will be- William Gregory McDow, II, Calvin Junior French, DNP, Ian Philip Gerbode, John Samuel Robertson, Jason Jacob Skiwski, and Deacon Mike Rueff.
