Stanley "Stan" Carol Riddle, 72, of Columbus, MS passed away December 31, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-GT.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2020, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Curtis Bray officiating , and with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Riddle was born April 12, 1947, in Greenwood, SC to the late Ruth McLaughlin and Carol Martin Riddle. Mr. Riddle married the love of his life, Teresa Guist, on March 8, 1969, in Brooksville, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, fishing and archery. Mr. Riddle loved his wife, children, grandchildren and Mississippi State Bulldogs. He was a member of Shaeffer's Chapel United Methodist Church, he loved his church. He received his bachelors of Science in 1976, then he received his Master's in Reproductive Animal Physiology in 1978 from Mississippi State University. He then went on to Oklahoma State as an Graduate Assistant, where he worked on his Doctorate. Mr. Riddle owned Stan's Outdoors for 15 years. Mr. Riddle was a veteran of The United States Air Force having served during Vietnam.
Mr. Riddle is survived by his wife of 50 years Teresa "Terry" Guist Riddle of Columbus, MS; sons- Neil Riddle, and Steven (Jessica) Riddle; grandchildren- Betsi Cate Riddle, Ella Clare Riddle, Eli Cole Riddle, Emmett Cyle Riddle, and Emma Caroline Riddle; sister- Jane (Charles) Garrett; and mother-in-law- Carolyn Guist.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Karg, Steve Guist, Bill Nanney, Rick McGill, Former employees of Classix, employees of Walmart-West Point, MS.
