Stoney Ray "Wine" Burns, 64, of Millport, AL, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Stoney was born July 27, 1957, to Janett Burns, in Columbus, MS. He was an iron worker by trade, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Always the life of the party, Stoney loved telling jokes and was just fun to be around. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his ironworker buddies. Mr. Burns is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emma McDill Burns and William Burns, a brother, Andy Corbett, father-in-law, RD Porter, and mother-in-law Vetress Porter.

Mr. Burns is survived by his wife – Sharon Burns; Daughters – Amanda (Mac Burke) Burns and Kayla (Darrius) Spraggins; son – Lance Burns; stepsons – Timothy (Jennifer) Edwards and Greg (Melissa) Edwards; grandchildren – Bridget (Beau) Geer, Elijah Baswell. Lance Burns, Jr., Breezy Burns, Kloe Spraggins, Klarissa Spraggins, and Darrius Spraggins, Jr.; step-grandchildren – Eli Edwards, Luke Edwards, Nina Holland, and Jacob Edwards; mother Janett (Bradley) Carley; sisters – Vickie (Randy) Tilley and Betty Sue ( Mike) Murphy.
