Sybil Rowe, 97 of Houston, MS passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Union County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 20, 2022, from 2:00 Pm – 3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A graveside service will be Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 3:30 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery, Fernbank, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Rowe was born August 1, 1924, in Columbus, MS to the late Jesse Payne and Lula Sykes Payne Anderson.  She worked for many years as a bookkeeper.  Mrs. Rowe baked wedding cakes, catered for weddings, and created floral arrangements.  In addition to her parents, Mrs Rowe was preceded in death by her husband – John Rowe, and son – Ricky Rowe.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by her son – John (Peggy) Rowe, Jr, Sulligent, AL; grandchildren - John W. (Stacey) Rowe, III amd Brooke (Courtney) Baughn and 5 great-grandchildren – Carter Baughn, Karlie Baughn, Bailey Rowe, Lauren Rowe, and Kayla Rowe; and close family friends - Dub and Wanda Collums, Houston, MS and Clifton and Peggy Bishop, Columbus, MS.

Pallbearers will be Courtney Baughn, Carter Baughn, Zach Collums, Duane Ketchum, Ethan Hayes and Bailey Rowe.
