Tammy Renne Hixson Parris, 36 of Jacksonville, AL passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Jacksonville Hospital Jacksonville, AL.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 from 6 ? 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carlos Dean officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Millport, Lamar Co., AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Parris was born March 2, 1974 in Columbus, MS to Gail Keating Hixson and the late Clyde Lawrence Hixson, II. She was a resident of Jacksonville, AL for the past 13 years. Mrs. Parris was employed in housekeeping at Jacksonville State University. She enjoyed cleaning, crocheting, riding horses, table games and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Parris is survived by her mother, Gail Keating Hixson, Jacksonville, AL; sons, James (Rhonda) Hay, Jacksonville, AL; Alex Parris, Jacksonville, AL ; two sisters, Elizabeth Cochran, Jacksonville, AL; Cindy Hixson Lanford, Panama City, FL; one brother, Clyde Lawrence Hixson, III, Jacksonville, AL; maternal grandfather, Charles Keating, Millport, AL; paternal grandmother, Bertha Gail Hixson, Uniontown, PA; granddaughter, Aubrie Leanne Hay; 3 nieces; 1 nephew and a host of friends and relatives.

Pallbearers will be James Hay, Clyde Hixson, III, Alan Parris, Larry Dean Keating, David Ray Keating, Charles Cochran and Alex Parris. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Keating, Mike Keating, Larry Russell Keating, Anthony Creek, Terry Thrash, Jeff Fultz, Mark Thrash and Mike Lea-Scrandrett.
