Tammy Lynne Malachowski, 55, of Steens, MS passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016, at her Aunt Linda's residence.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Malachowski was born October 1, 1960, to the late DJ and Gladys Baines Porter in Columbus, MS. She attended Mississippi University for Women, where she received an Accounting degree, and she received her Master's in Biology from Mississippi State University in 2007. Mrs. Malachowski taught Biology at Mississippi School for Math and Science for 3 years and at East Mississippi Community College for the past 5 years. She loved animals, reading, ballet dancing, music and teaching her students. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister- Donna Jo Porter; maternal grandparents-Gilbert (Anna) Baines; and paternal grandparents-Joe (Dolly) Porter.

Mrs. Malachowski is survived by her husband-Anthony "Tony" Malachowski, Steens, MS; and many relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
