Terry Wayne Lewis, 75 of Caledonia, MS passed away May 1, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 13 at 2:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Ray Williams officiating.
Also, there will be a Celebration of Life, Sunday, May 14 at 11:00 am at the Word of Life Church, Hwy 373, Columbus, Ms where he was a long time member.
Mr. Lewis was born October 10, 1947, in Moberly, MO to the late Orla Lewis and Mildred Bernice Lewis. He was a veteran MSGT with the United States Air Force for over 20 years earning an abundance of accolades during his service tenure. After his military accomplishments were complete, he continued his career at CAFB with DynCorp putting in another 20 years of service to complete his work longevity and fully retire.
Even with his dedicated work ethic, he still enjoyed life to the fullest! From camping with his kids, taking annual hunting and fishing trips to Missouri with family, leatherworks, carpentry work, and just being a jack of all trades! Mr. Lewis loved spending time with family and their many pets, watching home movies, Wild Hogs, Shrek and loading up on the Big Blue Bus to go look at Christmas lights!
He was also an avid motorcyclist. One of his favorite pastimes was riding on one of his collections of motorcycles and spending time with fellow bikers at Bike Night or meeting friends for morning coffee at the Caledonia gas station.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 54 years – Debra Asher Lewis, daughter-Terri Lewis, son-Todd Lewis (Pam), son-in-law-Mike Keene, brothers-Ernie Lewis and Larry Lewis, 6 grandchildren-Matthew Keene (Lauren), Brandon Keene (Brittany), Stephen Keene (Courtney), Austin Lewis (Lindsay), Sydney & Savannah, along with 7 great-grandchildren- Matthew II, Clara Grace, Cayden, Parker, Walker, Preston, and Wakely.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lewis is preceded in death by his brother- Eddie Lewis and special friends, Buddy Gardner (Cathy) and Larry "Catfish" Carney.
