Terry Parker, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 07, 2019, at Regency Hospital in Meridian.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Caledonia Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM with Bro. Bob Burch, Bro. David Lawrence and Bro. Mel Howton officiating.

Mr. Parker was born September 21, 1955, in Ferriday, LA, to Callie Ryser and the late James Huey Parker. He had retired from TVA in Caledonia and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Described as "Old School" by his family, he enjoyed living a simple life. Always strong-willed, he was known for his quick wit and was a very accomplished storyteller, holding the attention of anyone who would listen. A Baptist by faith, he was a member of Caledonia Baptist Church. He was the Patriarch of his family, a wonderful and loving husband to his wife and an incredible father to his two sons. He was especially proud of, and loved spending time with his grandchildren, wearing his title of "Poppy" as a badge of honor.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: one sister Sandra Franks; and step-siblings Donna Jean and James "Jim".

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of 45 years: Jenny Parker; two sons: Lane (Kristi) Parker and Hunter (Jenna) Parker and five grandchildren: Emilee, Ava, Alyssa, Gus and Ella Parker all of Caledonia, MS. He is also survived by his Mother and Step-father Callie and Norman Ryser of Montrose, CO; and step-siblings: Teri Reed, Cathy Wehmeyer, Christa "Chris" Johnson, Jeff Ryser and Jennifer "Jenny" Truscott.

Pallbearers will be Cory Gibbons, Mark Trull, John Prevost, James Wyatt, Arron McGuffee, and Kevin Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Ellis, Jamie Morris, Gill Morris, and Gail Morris.
