Thomas "Mickey" Merideth, 59 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital- Golden Triangle. Visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2013 from 1-2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Columbus, MS. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 PM with Bro. Jimmy Ray officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Mr. Merideth was born November 6, 1953 in Ft. Sill, OK. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Merideth retired after 32 years of service with Omnova Solutions. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the outdoors and horseback riding and he attended Canaan Baptist Church. Mr. Merideth is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Charles Merideth, Sr. Mr. Merideth is survived by his wife- Melissa Hood Merideth, Columbus, MS; mother- Faye Pryor (Roy) Locke, Columbus, MS; children- Wesley Robert Merideth, Starkville, MS, Shelley Marie Merideth and Maxwell Timrek Merideth both of Columbus, MS; sisters- Sandy (Bobby) Nethery, Columbus, MS, Debbie (Jerry) Brown and Rae Ann Carroll both of Birmingham, AL and brother- Philip (Linda) Merideth, Caledonia, MS. Honorary pallbearer will be Larry Manzolillo.
