Mr. Thomas Lee Parsons, 79,  passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL

The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.  Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Parsons was born September 16, 1942, in Clewiston, FL to the late Joseph Charles Parsons and Ida Clarice Turrentine Parsons.  Mr. Parsons served his country in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic.  He loved traveling and camping.  Mr. Parsons and his wife Fran were the proud owners of Southern Comfort Bus Lines (SCS), which they started in 1991.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Parsons is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Parsons.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his wife – Fran Louise Halsey Parsons of Columbus, MS; son – Thomas Lee (Melissa) Parsons, Jr.; daughter- Lori (Mike) Bursell; sisters – Ida Cash and Betty (William) Suggs; brother – James (Pat) Parsons; grandchildren – Tommy Parsons, Brandon Bursell, Jesse Shaw, Tyler Newell, and Russell Delacruz.
