Troy Winford Shaw, 94, of Oxford, MS passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the Oxfords Veterans Home, Oxford, MS.

A graveside service will be Friday, October 16, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Andrews Chapel, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Shaw was born on March 24, 1926, in Ethelsville, AL to the late Lou Ella Gardner Shaw and Troy Andrew Shaw. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. Mr. Shaw served in the Army Air Corps during WWI and was a former park ranger at Lake Lowndes Park. He loved gardening, fishing, and cooking fish, he also loved his grandchildren and taking them fishing. Mr. Shaw was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shaw is preceded in death by his wife- Betty Cooper Shaw; sisters- Lavada Byars, Mary McDill, and Mary Nell Shaw, and brothers- Wilford Shaw, Talmadge Shaw, and GB Shaw.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his daughters- Susan (Randy) Smith of Oxford, MS, and Beverly Martin of Mesa, AZ; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
