Vance Tullos, 72 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. A memorial service for Mr. Tullos will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Curtis Bray officiating. Interment will be in Murrah's Chapel Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Tullos was born January 15, 1940 in Lowndes County, MS to the late William Hugh and Edna Louise Acker Tullos. He was employed as an environmentalist with Terrebonne Parrish, LA for eight years and retired in 2006 as a security guard with Kerr-McGee Corp., Hamilton, MS. Mr. Tullos was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Murrah's Chapel, Columbus, MS. He enjoyed hunting, especially fishing, working in the yard, Cajun cooking, and being involved with people. Mr. Tullos is survived by his son – Jerry J. Rousse, Columbus, MS; sisters – Darlene Hawkins, Louisville, KY and Sybil Tullos, Los Angeles, CA.
