Vera Hinchliffe Gillian, 93 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her residence.

A memorial service will be Friday, December 2, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mike Smith officiating.

Mrs. Gillian was born May 5, 1929, in Warrington, United Kingdom. She was a member of British Birds and was strong in faith.  Mrs. Gillian was a big supporter of her community and very giving to numerous charities.  She was a dedicated wife and mother and loved spending time with her family.  Mrs. Gillian is preceded in death by her husband, John D. Gillian, who was a Master Seargent in the United States Air Force.

Mrs. Gillian is survived by her sons – Michael W. (Elizabeth) Gillian, Jeffrey (Amy) Gillian, and David M. Gillian; daughter – Sandra Molyneux; grandchildren – John J. Gillian, Ashley (Justin)  Klutts, Alicia Gillian, Aubrey K (Josh) Hancock, Dottie Wheat, Dylan Pounders, Brookelle Elisabeth Perrigin and Aiden Hancock; great-grandchildren – John Thomas Cayden Gillian, David Jace Tyler Gillian, Alexus Tatiana Makenzie Gillian, John Patrick Wheat, and William Anthony Wheat and other family members – Tori (Shannon) Owen and Beverly Young.
