Vera M. Johnson, 90 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at Darlington Oaks Hospice, Verona, MS. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS. Mrs. Johnson was born January 17, 1924 in Illinois to the late Ernest and Inez Howater Duncan. She attended Church of The Good Shepherd, Columbus, MS and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband-Frank Johnson and a son-Robert Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is survived by special friends-Kim (Tony) Lybrand and Elvie Guin both of Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Jeff Johnson, Phil Johnson, Genevieve Johnson and Augusta Johnson.
