Veronica, better known as Ronnie to all who knew her, was born on September 21, 1927, in Greenville, South Carolina. Ronnie's parents were Abraham and Margaret Richards.
In 1947 she married Othel D. Hagan and in June of 2017 celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary. Spending her first 24 years of marriage as an Air Force wife she easily made friends in the many places they lived around the world. Having lived at Columbus AFB in the late '50s and early '60s, when they retired from the Air Force in 1970 they moved back to Columbus. Ronnie was an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Broadacares Homemakers Club, enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing canasta. Ronnie was a very proud mother of her three sons who will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by her extended family in South Carolina and Louisiana. Everybody who came in contact with Ronnie was blessed to know a true southern lady. Mom you are and will always be loved and missed.
Veronica was preceded in death by her parents Abraham and Margaret Richards, her husband Othel D Hagan, her sister Regina Beard and her brother Frank Richards. She is survived by her three sons Larry Hagan and wife Marilyn in Colorado, Gary Hagan and wife Carol in Georgia and Kevin Hagan in Georgia. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Jennifer Rose and husband Mike, and James Hagan and a great-grandson Andrew Hagan all living in Colorado.
