Violet Jenese Richardson, 78 of Columbus, MS passed away July 7, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family at 2:15 PM. She was born on June 9, 1940 to the late Charlie and Ozema (Hughes) Robison in Sulligent, AL.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. Kenny Gardner officiating and Bro. Ray Williams assisting in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be in Murrah's Chapel Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Violet married Ott Richardson on December 19, 1965 and they gained 3 beautiful children.  She raised them with a loving heart and open arms that only a true mother can.  She felt blessed when she became a grandmother.  She enjoyed watching her granddaughter grow and loved to teach her some of life's lessons.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her husband – Ott Richardson, Columbus, MS; son – Marty (Crystal) Richardson, Columbus, MS; daughter – Tonia Jones, Columbus, MS; granddaughter – Chelsea Jones, Columbus, MS.  She was preceded in death by her daughter – Jennifer Richardson; sisters – Etta Vaiden, Helen Pugh, Polly Bishop and Dolly House; brother – Halon Robison.

Pallbearers will be John Lehr, Lance Lehr, Robert Richardson, Gary Richardson, Greg Bailey, Jeffery House and Chris Richardson.
