Virginia Hill Wright, 89, of Caledonia, MS passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at her residence. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Bro. Terry Edwards officiating in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Ms. Wright was born on July 11, 1925 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to the late Thomas Charles and Mae Wilson Hill. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church, Hamilton, MS. Ms. Wright loved sewing, gardening, camping and playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Wright is preceded in death by her husband - Alonzo W. Wright, grandchild - Craig Thrower, 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Ms. Wright is survived by son - A.W. (Elissa) Wright, Jr., Columbus, MS; daughters - Nancy (Jerry) Wright, Columbus, MS and Helen (Carlton) Lewis, Goodman, MO; grandchildren - Chad Richardson, Chris Thrower, Melissa Patrick, Adam Wright, and Jeanine Gregory; and great grandchildren - Craig Richardson, Lucy Ann Richardson, Annabelle Thrower, Sebastian Patrick, Kirsten Patrick, Wilson Wright, and Walker Wright. Pallbearers will be Chad Richardson, Chris Thrower, Adam Wright, Charlie Gregory, and Mac Pace. Memorials may be made to Center Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 59, Hamilton, MS 39746.
