Vondell Ann McRaney, 94 of Columbus, MS, formerly of Hattiesburg, MS passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 3 PM at Lone Star Cemetery, Lone Star, MS with Rev. Ken Rivelin and Rev. Mike Altman officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. McRaney was born September 3, 1919 in Rock Hill, MS to the late Martin Owen and Lela Frances Coulter McQueen. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Mrs. McRaney was a seamstress and she loved to travel. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband-Johnny McRaney, Sr., son-James Madison McRaney, sister-Skeet Clarkson and a brother-Johnny "Jake" McQueen. Mrs. McRaney is survived by a son-Johnny(Edna Kate) Bernell McRaney, Columbus, MS; grandchildren-Michael ( Yvette) McRaney, Fayetteville, TN and Marty McRaney, Columbus, MS; great-grandchildren-Kate Lynn McRaney and Brianna L.
