Walter Ray Owens, 52 of Plantersville, MS passed away Monday, May 11, 2020.

A family graveside service will be Friday, May 15, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Danny Renfroe officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.  Friends may view the service online at www.lowndesfuneralhome.net the following day.

Mr. Owens was born April 21, 1968 to Peggy Stevens Johnson and the late William Ray Owens in Columbus, MS.  He worked as a carpenter for over 30 years. Mr. Owens loved fishing, Mississippi State, and NASCAR.  He enjoyed working and helping others and spending time with people.  He especially loved spending time with his children.

Mr. Owens is survived by his son – Caleb Lollar; daughter – Gracelyn Lollar; mother – Peggy Stevens Johnson, Plantersville, MS; brother – Ronnie (Danita) Owens, Columbus, MS; and sisters – Carolyn (Joe) Peeks, Ethelsville, AL and Nancy (Joey) Watkins, Columbus, MS; long time companion - Vicky Dunn.

Pallbearers will be Cody Peeks, Hunter Holman, Nicholes Watkins, Kenneth "PJ" Dawson, Dan Peeks, and Harold Beasley.
