Warren H. "Punky" Kendall Warren H. "Punky" Kendall, 76 of Caledonia, MS passed away, Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kendall was born January 9, 1935 to the late Warren Joseph & Harriet Frances Hawkes Kendall in Portland, ME. He attended schools in Portland, ME and lived in South Portland, ME where he was employed as a trailer mechanic by Congdon Transportation, Sanborn's Motor Express and APA Transport Corp. Mr. Kendall enjoyed working with youth programs. He was a manager and coach for the National League of Little League baseball and a coach for Peewee Football in South Portland. For many years he was also a Scout Master for Troop #23 BSA in South Portland where he received the District Award of Merit from Casco Bay District BSA and was also a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from Pine Tree Council BSA. Upon his retirement in 1997, Mr. Kendall moved to Caledonia, MS, he was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed basketball and football. Mr. Kendall is survived by his wife Joan M. Kendall, Caledonia, MS, sons – Warren P. Kendall, Cumberland, ME & Michael P. Kendall, Summerdale, AL, daughter – Julie (Dale) Thurston, Cumberland, ME, 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Columbus Lowndes Humane Society, P.O.
