Obituary

On January 17, 2024, MSGT. Warren W. Wolfe, Jr. known as Chris, at the age of 72, passed away at UAB Hospital in Birmingham,  Alabama, with his family by his side.

The memorial service will be Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Concord Independent Methodist Church, 1235 Concord Road,
Columbus, MS 39702.

MSGT. Wolfe, Jr., was born on February 2, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Warren W. Wolfe Sr. and Rose Lee Evans Wolfe Edwards. He was raised in Jamaica, Queens, NY, until he joined the United States Air Force on December 10, 1973. He served in the US Air Force until December 31, 1993. During that time, his Air Force career included quartermaster, air traffic controller, and jet engine mechanic over his 20 years served. He was able to advance from Airman (E-1) to Master Sergeant (E-7).

After his passionate career in the US Air Force, MSGT. Wolfe continued to work as a Senior Propulsion Systems Inspector for Royal Saudi Air Force for 5 years, 4 years of employment at Kerr McGee, and final employment before retiring at DynCorp International for 10 years.

Outside of work on his off time, MSGT. Wolfe enjoyed chess, playing cards, reading books, board games, dominos, and video games like Zelda and Monopoly Go. In all, he enjoyed family gatherings and having fun with family.

MSGT. Wolfe, Jr., was preceded in death by his father Warren Wolfe, Sr., mother- Rose Lee Evans Wolfe Edwards, stepfather Fletcher Edwards, Sr., three brothers - Travis Wolfe, Keith Edwards, and Fletcher Edwards, Jr., one sister Margo Strachan, and one grandson Xavier Dixon.

Many will cherish his memories! Among them are his devoted wife, Beatrice Wolfe, 3 daughters - Ms. Tyesha Wolfe of Sumter, SC, Mrs. Tamara Holman (Garrick) of Jackson, MS, and retired Sgt. Tiffany Trice (Todd) of Dallas, GA, 3 sons - retired CPO Jerry Lowe (Angel) of Woodbine, GA, Mr. Cameron Peters (Katrina) of Caledonia, MS, and Mr. Christopher Wolfe (Brittani) of Columbus, MS, one sister - Ms. Dotty Edwards of Bronx, NY, two sisters-in-law - Ms. Helen Foster (George) of Crawford, MS, and First Lady Dorothy Hamilton (Pastor Robert) of Columbus, MS, 19 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
