Kenneth Wayne Doyle, 62 of Columbus, MS passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A funeral service will be Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Todd Stephens officiating.  Lowndes Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Doyle was born April 11, 1959, in Columbus, MS to Shirley Hitt Doyle and the late Kenneth Byron Doyle.  He was a 1977 graduate of New Hope High School and a member of Mt. Vernon Church, Columbus, MS.  Mr. Doyle serviced the Lowndes County District 3 Fire Department for 40 years and currently was Chief of District 3. He owned and operated Wayne Doyle Construction for 30 years.  Mr. Doyle retired on March 1, 2021 from Industrial Fire Protection, where he was the owner and president.   He enjoyed spending time at home with his family.  He loved his wife, sons, parents, grandchildren and Mt. Vernon church family.  Mr. Doyle enjoyed spending time at the range and training the next generation with firearm safety.  In addition to his father, Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his son – Corey Scott Doyle and an infant son.

Mr. Doyle is survived by his wife – Janice Hudson Doyle; son – Kevin Wayne Doyle; step-daughters – Ivy (Justin) Harris and Amy (Robert) Moore; mother – Shirley Hitt Doyle; grandchildren – Bryce McCollum, Whitt Harris, Dean Harris and Eliza Harris; brother – Tony Doyle; aunts – Elaine Croft and Roma Williamson.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Doyle, Robert Moore, Justin Harris, Neal Austin, Baron McKee, Brian Barksdale Ryan Baucom and John Cunningham.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lowndes County District 3 Fire Department and the Security Team at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
