Obituary
Wesley Ponds, Sr., 78 of Ethelsville, AL passed away, Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.
A memorial service will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at 10:00 AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating.
Mr. Ponds was born on February 11, 1941, in Columbus, MS to the late John Donehue and Nettie Simpson Ponds. He was a carpenter and worked for Jim Walter Homes. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ponds was preceded in death by his wife – Mary Ann Frame Ponds.
Mr. Ponds is survived by his daughter – Karen Naquin; sons – Wesley "Buster" Ponds and Donnie Ponds; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
