Wilda Catherine Reid Wright, 88 of Columbus, MS passed away, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Trinity Health Care, Columbus, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.  A graveside service will be Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Bro. Gary Murray officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Wright was born February 4, 1929, to the late Howard and Mildred Downs Reid in Columbus, MS.  She received her bachelor's degree from Mississippi University for Women and retired after many years as a field representative with the Social Security Administration.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years- William H. "Bill" Wright and three sisters – Jena McDonald, Weeta Cash, and Willeen Murray.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her nieces – Faye (Steve) Chism, Belinda (Dick) Spann, Belinda Stillman, Pam Wright, Donna Wright and Sandra Wright; nephews – Craig (Debbie) Murray, Gary (Sandra) Murray, Marty (Faith) Stillman, Melvin Stillman, Max Stillman, Mitch Stillman, John Boy Wright, Ricky Wright, Jeff Wright, Jimmy Wright and Kenny Wright.

Pallbearers will be Steve Chism, Gary Murray, Dick Spann, Marty Stillman, Max Stillman, Mike Keasler and Craig Murray.

Mrs. Wright's family wishes to extend a special Thank you to Jane Anderson, Leasa Hill, Angie Austin, Deborah Pickens, Casey Jenkins, Mone Adams, Nikki Austin and Nurses and Staff of Trinity Personal Care.
