Willard Belden Neidig Willard Neidig, 63 of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – GT, Columbus, MS. A memorial service will be Saturday, September, 29, 2012 at 10 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS, with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Neidig was born January 3, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Belden and Roberta Greenwald Neidig. He moved to Lowndes County eleven years ago from Ramstein, Germany. Mr. Neidig was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was employed by the 14th Logistics, civil service, as an inspector for twenty one years. Mr. Neidig was of the Catholic faith and he loved building models especially from balsa wood. He also loved his dog, Zowie and enjoyed traveling. Mr. Neidig is survived by his wife-Renate Wendling, Columbus, MS, son -Andrew Neidig, Munich, Germany, son - Patrick Neidig, Lacey, WA, son – Adrian Neidig, Warren-Robbins, GA, daughter- Bianca Locust, Oklahoma City, OK, daughter – Nadine Royal, Ramstein, Germany, sister – Doreen Austin and brother – Keith Neidig, both of Philadelphia, PA,, and 8 grandchildren.
