Annis Willene Vaughn Rye, 80, of Caledonia, MS passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at her residence.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017, at 1:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Reece officiating and Bro. Mike Skelton assisting. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Rye was born February 12, 1937, in Georgia to the late Felton Vaughn and Lucille Justice. She attended First Assembly of God, Columbus, MS. Ms. Rye loved her family, her kids, her grand kids, great grand kids, and great great grand kids with all her heart. She enjoyed cooking for herself and others. Ms. Rye was the peacemaker of the family, loved her family, and was an angel on this earth and now is an angel in heaven. In addition to her parents, Ms. Rye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Ray Rye, grandchild Andrew, and two great great grandchildren Kinsleigh and Bentley.

Ms. Rye is survived by her daughter- Delois (Marion) Barrentine of Caledonia, MS; sons- Lee (Teresa) Rye of Steens, MS and Douglas Rye of Caledonia, MS; brothers- Ronnie Thompson and Dannie Thompson of Georgia; sisters- Phyllis Thompson, Ruth Thompson, and Mary Lynn Thompson all of Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; and many friends.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Reeves, Jody Reeves, Keifer Reeves, Kevin Hollis, Eric Garrard, and Jason Garrard. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Rye, Seth Barrentine, Eric Hughes, Sadie Evens, and Camelia Hospice Staff and Nurses.
