William "Bubba" Whitman Buchanan, II, 49, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at his residence in Caledonia, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A graveside service will follow Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 1:30 PM at Rowan Cemetery, Steens, MS with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Buchanan was born April 5, 1968, in Columbus, MS to Hubert Wayne Buchanan and Brenda Joyce Brackin. He was a member of Border Springs Baptist Church, Caledonia, MS. Mr. Buchanan worked as an electrician at his business Buchanan Electric. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Buchanan loved the outdoors and working. He treasured his children very much. Mr. Buchanan was preceded in death by his grandparents- Joe Brackin, Hubert Buchanan, Sr., and Merle Buchanan, special uncle- William Whitman Buchanan, and nephew Cole Petty.

Mr. Buchanan is survived by his significant other- Angie Payne of Caledonia, MS; daughters- Kaitlyn Buchanan of Columbus, MS, Logan Buchanan and Harper Brynn Buchanan both of Caledonia, MS; sons- Hunter Buchanan of Columbus, MS and Caleb Buchanan of Caledonia, MS; mother- Brenda Joyce Brackin; father- Hubert Wayne Buchanan; mother-in-law- Elizabeth Payne of Columbus, MS; sisters- Gina (Gene) Petty of Guntown, MS and Stephanie Brown of Caledonia, MS; grandmother- Etoyle Brackin of Caledonia, MS; niece- Landri Brown of Caledonia, MS; nephews- Shane Petty of Guntown, MS and Tyler Brown of Caledonia, MS; great niece- Hollie Grace Petty of Caledonia, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Steven Buchanan, Josh Gentry, Brad Permenter, Dallan Buchanan, Mark Kesler, Ryan Buchanan, Olyn "Butch" Hill, and Dillon Conn. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Petty, Arl Taylor, Kelsie Taylor, Jason Buchanan, Randy "Yapper" Hopper, Jason "J.P." Parker, Jason "Shorty" Shepherd, Jimmy Crowe, and Shane Petty.
