William Earl "Bill" Butler, 82 of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Windsor Nursing Home, Columbus, MS.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. A funeral service will be Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Living Faith Tabernacle Church, Columbus, MS with Bro. Anthony Miller officiating and Bro. Matt Moehring assisting. Interment will be in Living Faith Tabernacle Cemetery, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Butler was born September 8, 1939, in Columbus, MS to the late RA and Cornelia Nellie Weir Butler. He worked as a truck driver with Johnston Tombigbee, Butler Transportation, and Vernon Milling. He retired from Falcon Construction where he worked there when it was Warren Brothers and Apac Construction as a Road Foreman. Mr. Butler loved watching Gunsmoke and singing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his wife – Shelby Jean Butler; daughter – Connie Priess; 3 grandchildren – Tyler Hall, James Parker, and Jamie Parker; and great-grandchildren – Ryder Wyers; 4 brothers – Robert Butler, Albert Butler, Ermon Butler and Ray Junior Butler and sister – Elonia Nickoles.
Mr. Butler is survived by his 4 daughters – Teresa (Buddy) Wyers, Christine Butler, Debbie (James) Parker, and Diane (Darren) Hall; sons – Mike Munford and Shane Butler; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister – Margaret Lunette Nickoles.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Parker, Cody Parker, Michael Cassell, Devin Wyers, Dylan Butler and Terrence Webb. Honorary pallbearer will be with angel wings – Tyler Hall.
