William H. "Bill" Frye, age 88, of Columbus, MS passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

The family will hold a service on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Kolola Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Don Harding officiating.

Mr. Frye was born on May 23, 1930 in Mississippi, to the late Ben and Bessie Magee Frye. He worked as a private investigator, a mechanic, and volunteered with the local law enforcement. Mr. Frye had 27 perfect years of attendance at Sunday school at Kolola Baptist Springs Church, Columbus, MS. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters- Lucille Slaughter, Lois Stevenson, and Pat Cox; brothers- Earnest Mason, Bud Frye, Coy Frye, Roy Frye; great-granddaughter- Destiney Champion.

Mr. Frye is survived by his wife of 36 years- Kim Frye of Columbus, MS; daughters- Shirley Jean Tolison, Angie Sutton, and Karen (Taylor Collins) Smith; sons- Billy Wayne Frye, and William (Jaena) Frye; grandchildren- Robbie, Carry Jo, Justin, Tori, Hope, Stephen, Alexis, Alana, Allison, Kadien, Brent, Emma, and Abby; great-grandchildren- Haley, Devin, Arlie, Skylar, Christopher, Dustin, and Hunter Lane; sisters- Ruby Arnold, and Dean Shaw; and brother- James Frye.
