Obituary

William K. Holliman, 94, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 29, 2023, at Martha Joe Leslie State Veterans Home.

Graveside Service will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, Mississippi with Bro. Robert Gillis officiating.

Mr. Holliman was born September 25, 1929, in Fayette, Alabama, to the late William Silas Holliman and Lela Bynum Holliman. Mr. Holliman was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.  He retired from the Air Force after 21 years.  He then entered the Civil Service and retired after an additional 21 years. He was also a Red Cross Volunteer for many years. Mr. Holliman attended and was a member of Stateline Baptist Church in Columbus, Ms. Mr. Holliman loved to garden.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Holliman is preceded in death by his brothers- James Holliman and Leonard Holliman.

Mr. Holliman is survived by his wife of 62 years – Elsie Rhodes Holliman; sons- Bobby (Robin) Holliman, and David Holliman, Sr.; grandchildren- Jennifer (Michael) Parker, David (Victoria) Holliman, Jr., and Katelyn Holliman; great-grandchildren- Alex Morgan, Kinsley Parker, Byron Channel, Zachary Channel, Melissa Turner, and Gracie Holliman.

Pallbearers will be – Michael Parker, Alex Morgan, Danny Hicks, Breck Combs, Jeremy Boykin, and Randy Barksdale. Honorary Pallbearers will be – David Holliman, Jr., Gene Colley, Sandy Mitchell, Doug Blount, Lee Gallop, and Noel Summerall.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Chapter, 207 West Jackson Street, Suite F, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
