William Rainey Howard, 95, of Sturgis, MS passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at The Carrington in Starkville, MS.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Howard was born July 16, 1926 in Sturgis, MS to the late Harvey Butler Howard and Ada Ruth Rainey Howard.  He was a brick mason for 15 years.  Mr. Howard was preceded in death by two brothers- Leon Howard and Burrois Howard; and one son- Gary Mitchell Howard.

Mr. Howard is survived by his daughter- Marsha DiBona; son- Bill Howard; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
