William Lee Johnson 62 of Steens, MS passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS. Mr. Johnson was born November 25, 1952 to Louise King Gunn and the late Lattie Gunn in Tennessee. He was a master carpenter, loved to work and was proud of his work. Mr. Johnson enjoyed mowing grass and having a pretty yard. He loved fishing, shopping and was a great man. Mr. Johnson loved his children and grandchildren dearly. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife - Bessie "Tootsie" Johnson; daughters - Janet (Kevin) Braddock and Kayla (Chad) Darrow; mother - Louise King Gunn; sister - Betty Jo (Billy) Batton,3 sisters, 1 brother and 7 grandchildren.
