William Marvin King, 85 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

A graveside service will be Monday, March 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Bro. Charlie Whitney officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home directing.

Mr. King was born October 24, 1935, to the late Benjamin and Grace Raines King in Greenville County, SC.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as an SMSGT after 22 years of service.  After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. King worked at McClure's Furniture in Columbus and West Point for many years. Mr. King was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.  In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by his brothers – Russell King and Buford King.

Mr. King is survived by his wife – Carol Human King; sons – Kenneth (Sheila)King and David (Jeannie) King; grandchildren – Nick (Lauren) Carruth, Samantha (Caleb) Bush, and Danika King; great-grandchildren – Nolan Carruth, Tyler Carruth, and Emery Bush.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Grace Baptist Church, Columbus, MS.
