Chris Malone William Chris Malone, 60, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at his residence. Visitation was Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 6–8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services were Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10AM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS with Bro. Jack O'Mary officiating. Interment was in Piney Grove Cemetery, Steens, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mr. Malone was born January 9, 1952 in Columbus, MS to the late C.B. and Christine O'Mary Malone. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, Columbus, MS. Mr. Malone was also a member of the National Rifle Association, Lowndes County Wildlife Federation, Slew Foot Hunting Club and was a past president and board member of the Lowndes County Wildlife Federation. He was a former auxiliary police officer for the city of Columbus. Mr. Malone was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman. He was a simple man that put his family first and his children and grandchildren were the delights of his life. Mr. Malone is survived by his wife – Shelia Malone, Columbus, MS; daughters – Kristy Shannon (Chris) Neri, Lakeland, TN and Casey (Charles) Weldon, Columbus, MS; brothers – Ladd (Bettie) Malone, Caledonia, MS and Wenn Dale (Judy) Malone, Millport, AL; grandchildren Garrett Weldon, Madison Blakely, Landon Blakely, Christopher Neri, Carmela Neri, Anthony Neri, and Liam Neri. Pallbearers were Chad Malone, Brian Malone, Eric Malone, Sam Hughes, Joshua Hughes, Roger Easley Jr., Scott Farrell, and Dan O'Mary.
