Mr. William "Billy" Talmadge Polk, 74, of Columbus, MS, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, at his residence.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens. Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS, is entrusted with all arrangements.

Billy was born December 30, 1950, in Prentiss, MS, to Vera Broome Polk and the late William C. Polk. Raised around Southern MS, Louisiana, and Chicago, IL, Billy met his wife, Brenda, on a blind date. Even though the date was supposed to be a double date with mutual friends before they bailed, they decided to give it a go anyways. For 55 years, 53 of those married, they shared a life of love, laughter, children, and grandchildren. Billy was known for his kindness, willingness to help others and ease of making friends. He built a career at Noland Company over 27 years, rising from counter boy to sales to manager. He then moved on to Southern Pipe & Supply as an air conditioner salesman until his retirement in 2012.

Billy is survived by his wife, Brenda Polk; daughter, Kristen Polk; son, Ryan Polk (Lindsey); adopted son, Jazz Harmond; mother, Vera Broome Polk; sister, Paulette Ainsworth; brother, Jackie Polk; sister-in-law, Mildred Polk; and grandchildren, Sarah Harmond, Alex Harmond, Seth Polk, and Evan Polk. He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Polk; brother, Bobby Polk; and sister-in-law, Janie Polk.

Pallbearers will be Troy Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Braydon Sistrunk, Kaden Sistrunk, Matthew Perkins, Brandon Black and Derek Eaves. Service will be officiated by Brother Steven Webb.
