William Curtis Smith, 77, of Ethelsville, AL passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at his residence.

A visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Lowndes Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mitch Nethery officiating. Interment will be in Tabernacle Cemetery, Ethelsville, AL with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mr. Smith was born on January 21, 1944, in Columbus, MS to the late Hazel Smith and William E. Smith. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith enjoyed Smitty's softball, Alabama sports, and dirt track racing. He served in the United States Army for 2 years and retired from Omnova in 2013. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his wife- Beth Ann Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his sons- Curt (Dixie) Smith of Millport, AL, Greg (Melani) Smith of Haleyville, AL, and Bo Langford, Cullman, AL; daughter- Karen (Scottie) Jacobs of Ethelsville, AL; grandchildren- Keller (Mattie) Smith, Camden Smith, Ty Smith, Bryce Hays, Hadley Smith, Reese Smith, Ashton Hays, and Waylon Ayers; sister- Paula Ayers; and brothers- Eddie (Cindy) Smith, and Bobby Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Sudduth, Brian Rickman, Rick Rickman, Jeremy Harris, Ladd Coleman, Mike Harris, Larry Manzolillo, Phillip McNeese, Shawn Trull, and Allen Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers will be GFP Racing Family, Smitty's Softball, Former Employees of Omnova Solutions, Timmy "Tapper" Sudduth, Staff of Generations of Vernon, Staff of Fersenius Kidney Care, Staff of Amedisys, Harold Barton, Jeff Webber, Dave Ayers, and Lance Ayers.
