Ron Stokes

William Ronald “Ron” Stokes, 72, of Columbus, MS, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at his residence.

Graveside at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.

Mr. Ron was born December 3, 1953, in Columbus, MS to the late Virgil Eugene Stokes and Lillian Maxine Rea Stokes. He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Living Faith Tabernacle. Mr. Ron helped bless numerous Christian organizations in the area. He was a truck driver and a racecar driver. Mr. Ron is a Veteran and served in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ron is preceded in death by his brothers, Rex Stokes and Ricky Stokes, and sister, Sherry Richardson.

Mr. Ron is survived by his children- Jessica Ingram, Tony Stokes, Jermiah Stokes, Amy Murray, Danielle Stokes, and Sara Kerlee; grandchildren- Kendra Ingram Hulsey, Kelli Cowell, Tony Stokes, Luis Stokes, Madison Smith, Landyn Stokes, Olivia Reeves, and Kaleb Hysaw; great grandchildren- Cohen Stokes, Adlien Stokes, and Thomas Hulsey; nephews- Kenny Stokes and Kevin Stokes.
