Willie Ceil Barnes Willie Ceil Barnes, 92 of Columbus, MS passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - GT, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11 AM at Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Bro. Billy Little officiating and Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing. Mrs. Barnes was born March 11, 1919 in Vernon, AL to the late Pinkney and Isabelle Gault Waldon. She retired from Stewart's Nursery after 37 years of service. Mrs. Barnes was very family oriented and enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by her husband - Pervie L. Barnes and son - Vivian L. Barnes. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her daughters - Annette L. Bishop, Columbus, MS; Trixie L. (James) Novak, Columbus, MS; grandchildren - Stephanie Bishop, Dana Cook, Terry Phillips, Silas Phillips, Lee Marie Barnes and April Martinez; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Terry Phillips, Silas Phillips, John Haggard, Sam Medora, Ricky McGill and Cecil Jones.
