Willie Joe Courtney, 85, of Steens, MS passed away Friday, January 13, 2023.

Lowndes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.  No services are scheduled at this time.

Mr. Courtney was born on April 28, 1937, to Lillie Riggs and James Courtney, in Russellville, TN.  He retired from the U S Air Force after serving for twenty years.  Mr. Courtney enjoyed fishing, raising horses, and tinkering around the house.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Hopkins Courtney.

He is survived by his sons – Bradley (Rhonda) Courtney and Ronnie Courtney; grandchildren Kierra (Aaron) Ott and Marlee (Thomas) Moore; and great-grandchild Holland Moore.
