John Winston Thompson, 60, of Columbus, MS passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019, at his residence.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 12-2 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Mr. Thompson was born in West Point, MS on May 8, 1959, to the late Bonnie Jeri Campbell and John Thompson. Mr. Thompson got his masters degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. He drove a semi-truck and worked in the banking business. Mr. Thompson worked for the commercial dispatch for 13 years receiving 13 associated press awards for photography. He loved his family and his dogs.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife- Janice Louise Behe Thompson; daughter- Laura (Landon) Hutchinson; stepchildren- John (Dorothy) Ronan and Courtney Ronan; aunts- Gaitha Parkerson and Martha McGee; grandchildren- Caroline Hutchinson, Cade Hutchinson, Alivia Bartow, and Alexis Bartow.
